Earth Calling Holiday Club Kit List

“There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.”

While that quote is maybe a slight exaggeration, we will always endeavour to run our clubs fully outdoors and in all apart from the most extreme weathers, throughout the year. Being well prepared also means the children will enjoy the clubs so much more, and that is always the most important thing at Earth Calling!

Please use this post as a non-exhaustive list of things your child will need to have with them for full-day wildlife clubs with Earth Calling. Please read the All Year Essentials alongside the Season specific list below. If the leaders advise that specific activities require more or different kit then please do also bring that along. As always, the Earth Calling team are more than happy to help so please get in touch if you have any questions.

Please take these items as well as the ‘all year essentials’ above to all holiday clubs in the winter/autumn:

  • Warm clothes (hoodies, puffer jackets, thermals, etc…) to go under waterproofs
  • A hat
  • 2 pairs of gloves (waterproof if possible)

An example of a summer kit list on a beach/river day

Please take these items as well as the ‘all year essentials’ above to all holiday clubs in the spring/summer:

  • Summer clothes
  • A sun hat
  • Spare socks and jumper
  • Sun cream
  • Sunglasses

River/beach clubs

In the spring or summer, we spend a lot of our time at the beach and in rivers. The club leader will let you know in advance which days these will be. For these clubs please add to the summer and essentials lists:

  • A full change of clothes
  • Water shoes (these can be old trainers or sandals. Wellies aren’t recommended as they are uncomfortable and heavy when they fill with water)
  • A towel
